Today we paused to remember 9/11/2001, to honor the heroes who stopped the aircraft aimed at the White House, and to remember the thousands who died horribly that day at the hands of the same ideology still attacking western civilization twenty-three years later.
(It may be a surprise to you, but many are still suffering and dying because of their sacrifice in the days and weeks following that attack. The poisonous smoke from the burning buildings filled the air, and especially those immediately searching the rubble for any possible survivors inhaled cancer-causing pollutants never meant to be breathed by humans. Getting started, we presented placards and quarter-page flyers designed to be distributed in promoting attendance at these classes, and offered copies of “Freedom: You Can Handle It” and Patriot Academy’s “Pocket Principles”, which includes the Declaration, the Constitution, and discussion of the LIFT principles: limited government, individual liberties, free enterprise, and timeless truths.
Then we took time for a review of the basics, for those new to the classes:
We then resumed the Patriot Academy review of the Congressional functions;
It was a full day! Next week we pick up our study of the Presidency, including how the Electoral College works to select the President, the assigned duties, the 25th Amendment on removing the President from office, Executive Orders, Oaths, etc.
